Though I doubt anyone could honestly say they left the theatre feeling good after watching this film, it nevertheless remains a tragic, searing drama made all the more poignant in light of recent events and given the fact that its based on a true story. It features strong performances from Michael B Jordan and especially Octavia Spencer as his mother. A film that will most likely make you tear up and shout obscenities at the screen in anger, but yet a film you won't regret seeing.
