I can't believe as a MJ fan, I'm only giving this a 7 when I gave a 10 to a not-so-great (after second-guess) movie like Fame 2009. Maybe it's because I didn't go to see a long awaited movie on its day of release for once."This is it" is a wonderful farewell gift to the fans. Everything is in the title :- this is it, the end, the last performance of a great artist - this is it: a not-completed work who would have been a masterpiece, once completed... I think that people don't necessarily need to watch this on big screen. However, if it's released on DVD, it's something worth buying for your private collection. You don't make a movie out of rehearsals. You make a documentary with the director's comments in background. This is it may look like a documentary but it's not one and it's not a movie either. It can just be compared to the little footages that parents take of their kids because they would to reminisce one day. That's what it is: something that helps you to remember what MJ was.
