The Expendables

Click here to show this review. This is a pure action movie. The plot is somewhat interesting, but nothing really unusual. The Expendables are hired to remove an army that is terrorizing a small island city and of course, a woman is involved in the reason they go ahead with such a dangerous mission. But the action is great. Given that it is always dark and the film cuts back and forth between two or three fights all the time, so you only see quick shots of each fight before it changes angles, which I often find does less justice to a well choreographed fight sequence then a consistent shot. But even so, the action is non stop and if that is what you are looking for and expecting, as I was, then you won't be let down. Otherwise, I would avoid it.
