As a satire this movie fails miserably and as a comedy/who-dunit (who cares?) so-so at best. The performances are average apart from Isabelle Huppert who is wonderfully over the top as Augustine. The situations are so contrived and unbelievable that the audience was laughing more at the pretentiousness of the director than at inherent cleverness in the script. The director shows little regard for his cast and less for his audience by putting together a parade of contrivance rather than story logic. This story had less good writing than the average sopa opera. The sub-titles totally miss the nuances inherent in the dialogue but even accurate translations wouldn't make any difference as it doesn't work in French anyway. I have seen better student movies and will definitely go out of my way to avoid being subjected to this self-indulgent and untalented director again. (1/10)
