I was lucky enough to view a foreign copy but was disappointed with the outcome of the film. Denis was not at his funniest in this film. Nor was the film a drama, so he did not really have a chance to show off his dramatic ability either. If you like Denis, it is a MUST SEE for you. He stars as a detective with back problems, drug problems, and overall LIFE problems. He falls for his charopractor, Hurley, in her office while getting an exam due to the fact that he fell while on duty during a shooting spree at a restaurant. There are some great smaller performances by actors such as Steve Buscemi as Denis cop-partner, and Chris Noth of Sex and the City, as another detective who wants to see the bumbling detective fail. Denis bumbling however is not all that funny. Hurley is "pretty" as usual and overall the film is so-so. If you want a REALLY good Denis and Liz movie, see Dawg, released on overseas DVD and VHS... now that will make you laugh out loud. This may brin a grin or two... if you like Denis like I do.. (6/10)
