Unfortunately, that's all there is to it. I'm a giant Anne Rice fan, and I thought that this was full of pit holes and gaping feelings of emptiness where there were expectations. There is also a mass amount of elements in the novel that were missing in the movie. It's not a complete waste of your money- just don't go to see it if you are expecting anything that stimulates you... intellectually.
