You can't look at this movie as a sequel to Interview with the vampire because nothing adds up even though that movie did not stay 100% true to the novel. The only thing in common is the character Lestat. Stuart Townsend was awesome better thatn cruise. With blonde hair Townsend is exactly how I would picture Lestat.
