The movie itself raises a number of interesting human rights issues. Both Cameron Diaz and Jason Patric hold the movie well while letting Abigail shine through and with Alec Baldwin playing a hard knocks lawyer it seems like every role was filed to perfection. Really great Cast, Really good story (though quite sad) and really good movie if it's the kind you are looking for.
