They try hard to make it something more - filling in backstories for various charaters, adding some love stories and redemption sub-plots - but it doesn't work. The story is predictable and plodding. The action is as contrived as the story. Maybe the most surprising thing is how many recognisable actors there are (even if you don't know their names you'll recognise their faces) Wait for it to be shown on TV.
