I adored Donnie Darko and I highly disliked this film. I left the theatre with a sick feeling, and felt the need to go and rent some lighter fare just to wash the bad taste out of my mouth. Acting was fantastic, and the camera work was interesting yet nauseating and those are the only positives I can come up with. I enjoy movies that leave us with questions, but not movies whose questions either have no answer or are too obscure to retain any meaning. I suggest you skip this movie even as a rental unless you are angry with yourself and want to use it as a cruel and unusual punishment.
