It is in fact one of those gems in which everything works. The story is the key but this cast really pulls it off. Even if you know the ending you really feel dragged though the process (this is a good thing) just to get there. There are several young actors who go on to bigger roles in later years and really give there all here. You can feel the heat just watching the film; feel the tension and want to jump up and punch someone because of what you see.
