I am in the minority on this I know, but I didn't like Spacey's performance that much and I am a Kevin Spacey fan. For awhile I thought the point of the movie was that he was somehow mentally retarded. My wife, however, thaought he was great and that he had just the right tone to convey the down and out sort of guy he was at the beginning.
