Go in with an open mind, don't get too caught up in the always-there Almodovar constants (gay sex, transvestites... ) and see it for the good story that it is: a colorful portrayal of the disturbing beauty of human pasion, loyalty and desire. Read between the lines, appreciate the subtle humor and messages, understand, feel. Oh, and Gael Garcia Bernal is absoluetly scrumptious.
