He ended the war in Afghanistan. It "don't get any better than that!" I cried at the end when he was unable to secure American support to rebuild Afghanistan and we all know how that turned out... an insightful, brilliant, wise yet despairing look under the microscope at the workings of the American government system. By the end of the film I feel for Charlie Wilson; his frustration is my frustration too. Mike Nichols, bravo!
