The movie is an excellent portrayal of the invisible minority, illegal immigrants who have to compromise constantly in order to survive in an otherwise "free" society. The movie has its weaknesses (the ending is predictable, the conclusion is a little trite, and the doctor has a secondary plot involving family that seems completely out of place and tacked on), but the dialogue is wonderful (even though too many characters speak the same way) One thing however, Audrey Tautou does NOT "reprise" her role as Amelie Poulin as some say. The two movies have absolutely nothing in common, unless you've only seen two movies in the past 5 years.
