The reality of their perceptions while taking drugs is so potent. The way in which the director shoots the film is exactly how one might feel on acid, morphine, cocaine (paranoia) , meth, pot, herione... The actors have created a masterpiece of what it is like to be high & psychotic. I should know I have been there, literally.
