Larry Fessenden's movie "Habit" takes it's audience on a captivating ride. It would be a crime to mistake the actors portrayal of "everyday people" for inexperience... the hypnotic way that the movie moves draws the viewer in so that the characters become friends, in whose successes we rejoice, and mistakes we cringe for in empathy. Larry Fessenden does a wonderful job portraying a man struggling with burdens too great to bear. His self-depreciating manner, combined with a genuine hope that he is able to straighten out, make his character very engaging. Along with his struggles is added the beautiful Meredith Snaider, who portrays the mysterious Anna... a character whose exact nature is enticingly kept a matter of speculation and confusion throughout the majority of the film. Her charming demeanor, disarming smile, and mysteriously dark alure make it easy to see how she could indeed become a very serious habit... Here's hoping Hollywood will feel the same about her. Each of the characters in this movie play their parts realistically and add depth to the delicious plotline... I am hoping that this film will catch the Hollywood movers and shakers eye, and we will soon see more from Larry Fessenden's pen and perspective! - Chris MacLeod.
