I'll admit that the ending is a little too perfect for my tastes, but the film as a whole does stand on its own and represents one woman's struggle in her tormented marriage, her affair and her struggle with her unwanted pregnancy. The characters are real and believable, and the film also appears to have a an affair of its own with pie-making. If you don't want to either bake or eat pie after watching this film, there is likely something wrong with you.
