Of course it was over the top, that's the whole fun of it. You just got to flow with it and not get so stuck up on the details. I was in the mood to see xxx for what it is... chases, explosions, nice cars, and more explosions. The acting was alittle cheesy at times but hey, who cares? Not every movie has to be perfect in every little way. I think if you're in the mood to view something fun and not too serious, xxx is for you. But if you are really big on realism and detail, I wouldn't recommend it.
