He is able to change with every script, to actually take you off the paper and into the character himself. He allows you to get into their very being. I was very pleased with his performance in the Yards, and can easily compare him with the movie greats of yesterday. I don't think Hollywood recognizes the treasure they have in Joaquin Phoenix. This man will continue to be a powerful force in this business.
