Maybe I didn't like this movie as much as I could because I'm just a somewhat young teenager (16) who has never been in love and never had to deal with a partner that just won't commit. 500 Days Of Summer was a good movie, and I enjoyed it, but I was unable to relate to any of the characters, so I didn't understand why Summer was so hard to deal with and why Tom just couldn't get over her. It was a bit confusing because they kept on switching from day 1 to 9 to 145 to 48 to 5 and to 132 (as an example, ) so it was a bit muddled. The humour wasn't all that great either but it was pretty funny. The acting was fantastic and the characters were very much real. 500 Days Of Summer isn't a Hollywood love story with plastic characters and plastic romance; it was reality which may or may not appeal to the viewer. I liked it, but I wish Summer ended up miserable instead of finding happiness. I also wish it stated why Summer never fell in love with the kind, funny, lovable Tom.
