How The Heck Can This Be A 7.7?!?!?!?!?!?!? This was a frikin amazing movie and the only movie that comes anywhere close is its sequel which was equally frikin amazing and anyone who disagrees knows absolutely nothing about movies!!!

This sci-fi movie is very good, because there is an element of suprise. You can`t know the end. For the movies (which are rather boring) the good guy is always winning... The actors are good, but Vin Disel is better then the others. In the begining I have no idea that I can like "Pitch Black", but now I just love it!!!

Characters vapid and full of B.S. + Really stupid dialogue + Way too predictable!!! (X 10!!) + Poor editing, direction, etc. Effects were good though. Bad guy half decent. Really bad acting.

It was an aliens rip-off. The creatures were a cross between a pirhana and a bat. It had some scary moments but its been done before, so what, wait for video.

This is a classic science fiction movie, with the whole package of a crashed ship on a mysterious planet with a deadly race of aliens running around trying to devour the survivors. The movie does a good job of keeping the audience in suspense in wondering who is going to survive at the end. Vin Diesel carries off a convincing bad-guy-hero character and Radha Mitchell would give Sigourney Weaver a run for her money. A truly good science fiction film.
