I love this film. I really thought it was awesome & beautiful. Frank oz wasn't bad for the director. Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, Robert Downey jr. , & terence stamp were funny & excellent. I especially loved Heather Graham. She was a nice choice. She was funny, beautiful, & sexy. Especially in that black dress. They had splendid scenes of good vs. Evil, dazzling characters, marvalous police chases, good idea of a film being made into a film, & charming scenes of romance..

An absolute flop. I am the biggest Eddie Murphy fan, however, this movie is a waste of time.... I didn't even get a single good chuckle. A huge disappointment by any standard.

I have always been a great fan of Steve Martin's, and this comedy is one of his better ones. It certainly is worth the ticket price

The fact that I like both Eddy Murphy and Steve Martin did little to change my opinion. The story was very weak and though some scenes made me laugh I found it quite boring and wished that I had waited for it to come out on video. Dont trust the critics in the Gazette I think they believe the trailers are what make a movie.

Very, very funny. I laughed out loud. A movie that brought about the images of an old Marx Brothers film.

Funny, absurd and silly, this take-off on Hollywood film making and the "star as movie" could have been better scripted and more written with more imagination and humor, but the acting was fun and I enjoyed watching the movie and had a few bellylaughs.

Quite funny, Murphy performance was great. Script tight, overall enjoyable.

I was expecting more out of it. It had a couple of nice laughs, but all in all, I found it disappointing. Eddy Murphy is wasting his talent on movies like these if you ask me.

The previews are better than the movie. Very few laughs, quite tiresome at times. A rental; maybe!

The movie was just allright. The story was good and the acting was even better, but the movie really lacks something. Also, for comedy it had very few laugh out loud scenes, most were covered in the trailer for the movie. The best part about the film is the transformation of Eddie Murphy, who plays both the rich, successful action star and the naive, simple Bowfinger. Last word: Heather Graham was great to look at in this film, but her character was played way over the top.

Hmmm... I was left wondering if my sense of humour had vanished... You'd better be in a good mood upon setting foot in the theatre if you are looking for laughs (and have 8 dollars to flush down the toilet). Even comic gurus Eddie Murphy and Steve Martin seem dull and uninteresting when handed moronic and wit deprived scripts of this nature. Frankly, invest on something else... there are so many good classics out there... you don't have to see a new release... wait till it's worth it.
