[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
We've all heard the expression: this or that movie is a nail-biter! Or: It keeps you on the edge of your seat!. Well for me, Traitor, which is written and directed by The Day After Tomorrow screenwriter Jeffry Nachmanoff does both and as a bonus you get a very intelligent script with equally smart and very well thought of dialogues! To top it all off, there is some very seriously good performances from Accademy Award nominee and Golden Globe recipient, producer, author and philanthropist Don Cheadle (loved him in: Hotel Rwanda) who happens to be one of Hollywood's busiest and most respected actors-Together with equally brilliant performances from: Said Taghmoui (who plays the character of Omar) and a very talented bunch of other great actors such as Guy Pierce and Jeff Daniels! As far as I'm concerned, the extremely ugly face of terrorism has never been so very well portrayed on the big screen before this movie! There are so many positive things to say about Traitor but I'm not going to spoil it for any readers as I want you all to go see it! ; However I am going to share something with you: Towards the end of the movie, and at the end of a conversation between the main FBI agent and samir (Cheadle's character), the FBI agent tells samir: Alsalamou Aleikom, which is Arabic for: May peace be with you, and samir answers back: You should say this at the beginning of a conversation... To me this is quite significant of how the new American political approche towards the Middle East should be rather than the present one which favours certain countries upon others in the region!..
