This flick slowed down in several places, (I hate that) The only thing that kept me watching was AMEE. A LOT more could have been done with her character, she was definitely the coolest!

Well this is one of the best space movies I have ever seen. Don't listen to all of the bad reviews. I mean there was awesome actors and the robot was really cool. I think that this is my favorite movie. Go and see it for your self!

The movie is very good. The trailer sucks. Those who made the trailer should be entirely blamed for the poor performance of the movie at the box office. While the movie is good, and keeps you interested throughout, the trailer sucks big time. The trailer is very misleading trying to make us believe a completely different story. Whatever they say in the trailer is not what happens in the movie. They just cut bits and pieces from completely unrelated parts of the movie, and made an entirely new 2-minute movie that has NOTHING to do with the real movie. The movie is good. For some it might be great. Try it, and come back here to make a comment.

What is everybody talking about? I LOVED this movie. Amazing soundtrack, Carrie Ann Moss, Val Kilmer, incredible sets and backdrops - it was incredible. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.

What a load of crap. Val Kilmer as the intelligent sensitive guy. Right. Still though, Carrie Anne Moss is hot.

What can I say, it is a silly movie, where people go to outer space, I wasn't expecting a plot, and I didn't get one. That doesn't matter, it has a robbot in it that knows kung fu, and splices in drunk boxing, the only thing it needed was more of the kung fu robot.

This film is, by far, the worst film in the history of cinema. The actors sound like they are boared to death. The dramatic sceane are played as if everyone was playing a game of poker. The whole thing just doesn't make sense. Give or take a few secondary elements.

All I can say is that I was expecting a bad movie and it was even worse than I expected. Save your money and don't waste your time by seeing this one.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Bad movie, nothing we haven't seen before. It seems that with time, suspense and sci-fi thrillers get worse and worse. This movie revolves around the typical love between the good girl (beautiful and intelligent) and the good guy (a hothead) and how against all odds the end up together. I was kinda hoping he died, it would have been better. Then there is the action? And the suspense? , predictable and boring. The initial idea was OK bad badly developed. Don't bother with this movie, rent Event Horizon or something.

This movie is like every other space movie, they can not elaborate anymore. The only fun found in this movie is to see the gadgets. It is so predictable.

Mishmash storyline with the best actor(Terence Stamp)taken out early just after the philosophical/spiritual interest is laid. Residue of predictable storyline occassionally spiced up with a mechanical killer robot.

What a waste of money... Avoid this movie at all cost. The story was stupid, the acting was passable, the ending sucked. What else can I say.

Well, the AMEE the military robot was really cool... But can't say the same for the chemistry between actors, don't expect to see this at the oscars.

Ouch... We DEFENETLY wont see Red Planet at the oscar's... I personnaly like both of these actor's. (Val and the Matrix girl(worth seing for shower scene =] )) But the storyline and scenario is not there. Some nice special effects... Tipical ending.

This movie actually started off rather well and had an ok story at the beginning. That surprised me since almost all space sci-fi movies suck (Battlefiled Earth etc... ) and only a few are actually good (Aliens etc... ) Why oh WHY did it have to end up being a romance movie? If they just stuck to the original story it might have been half-decent.

They took a good idea, and somehow someway ruined it. It had so much potential, my 10 yr old brother could have developed a good movie on mars given all those special effects... . everywhere they could have gone wrong... They did...

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] *READ* *READ* *READ* WOW. Now thats a movie to see. It is actually very similar to Mission To Mars in many respects. Terrible plot, no wait, no plot, overwhelming amounts of computer graphics and the science behind it... just WOW! Say goodbye to Darwin's Laws of evolution and throw common sense out the window. Go to see it, or better rent it, play it slowly in front of your friends. Show them just how terrible a movie can get. Make fun... If they like it, you just found out that they just might not be as heterosexual as you might think. Look for this in the movie: (funny) - A robot that serves as a navigator, but doubles as a killer army hunting robot. WOW, just awesome ideas they get... - 20 years of development = plenty of oxygen + killer bugs that eat everything, including crew. Once more, WHAT A PLOT GUYS, just awesome. - Their headgear actually isnt as air-tight as it seems. Look at their chin, hey wait a minute. I can see their chin through 3 small holes that look like 110V sockets hahaha. The list goes on...

The special effects were OK but the story-line was mindless and a lot of the science was wrong. Most of the errors could have been fixed by letting a biologist read the script. Some of the stupid mistakes are: It's AGTC not AGTP; nematodes are worms not insects; and oxygen would have been easy to detect from Earth.

Red Planet = Mission To Mars. The two were very BAD. DO NOT SEE IT. Not even on video.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Basically you have only one reason to see this movie. If you are a guy you'd want to see it because Trinity from Matrix has a shower scene in it. If you are a woman of course you'd want to see it because of Val Kilmer. And if you're a kid you sure wouldn't want to miss this one for no other reason than the fact that this is a sci-fi space movie. Other than that, nothing really explains why this movie is worth spending $12 for a ticket.

If like me you had high expectation about this movie, you will be desappointed. Looks real but in a over saturated subject it's nothing(Mission to mars... ) There are less actors (incl. Figurines) in the movies than fingers on my palm. (<10) However if you are sick of aliens and ufos you might give it a try.

Is it really that hard to make an interesting movie about travels to another planet? This movie is so boring, so unimaginative, so lacking in any interest to details or insights into what it would actually be like going to mars... This is the worst movie of the year. Last year the worst movie was Mission to Mars, or was that this year as well? Save your money and buy a book on Mars, you'll get alot more out of it.

The movie has good effects, a couple of cool gadgets but a mediocre story line. Better than "Mission To Mars", but wait for video or cheap night!

It's not the greatest movie ever yet it isn't the worst one either. Red Planet could have been much much better. The basic idea for this movie is very good but the way it was put together is another story. The near death experiences, the robot, the man-eating bugs, it's as if they wanted to take ideas from all the sci-fi movies ever made. This movie is worth seeing on video or on the cheap movie days.

Great Effects... That`s all. The story is interesting, but it doesn`t go anywhere. Disappointing, but see the effects on the big screen, don`t wait for video, it will lose it`s effect.
