A wonderfully effective film, making excellent points about a serious subject by mixing comedy with the drama. Most other filmmakers would have made it overly earnest or, at the other end of the scale, too shallow. With his previous film, The Matador, writer/director Richard Shepard showed that he understands moral nuance. Not everything has to be cut and dry right or wrong, because sometimes that's just not on the menu.

Lol, 18 year olds critising movies... lol. The movie unique , a point of view from journalists, good movie, but not great. Worth seeing, very intense, and interesting. Def, 8/10 cheers!

This is a good solid politically driven movie. The acting is good and the message of how political war criminals are not truly sought is very important. All in all well worth your time and money.

I didn't quite 'buy-in' to all the scenes... some a little too contrived; however, the visual impression on war and how it affects active communities, etc. was conveyed. For a 14A rating, I found the language very strong and somewhat unnecessary to the degree it was given. The acting is fine, but not spectacular or anything. Worth a look.

I'm not usually a Gere fan, but Gere and Howard gave really good performances in this truth based story. It gave a more realistic view of what happened in the war in former Yugoslavia, and was very entertaining in the story telling. Worth your time and $.

It's so empty it's hard to explain. R. Gere should stay away from comedies. Do Not waste your time.

Richard Gere extending his role as a scalawag from 'The Hoax'. Terence Howard is a good foil. Young Jesse Eisenberg as the rookie adds a fresh faced comic element. Much more could have been done with Diane Kruger -- she is a most gifted actress. Almost moralizing, the film is a satisfying, absurdist indictment of the lack of pursuit of war criminals by western democracies. Only a fair night out by all concerned. Satisfying twist at the end.

Very bad Movie. Director together with story writer did not explore the new history. According to western standard We are flowing USA mentality cowboys surrounded by "innocence" Bosnian muslims, and follow by unreal Serbs ghosts. MR. Director and MR. Writer, also MR. Producer very poor work.

I loved this movie it was very well written and even better was the acting, I recommend this flick too everyone who enjoys smart, witty, funny, well done movies. Despite the topic of this movie you'll find yourself laughing out loud a good portion and the ending is great.

Well, it's a good movie to watch for sure. It is not for everyone I think because there is something about politics and Sarajevo War in Bosnia. The characters are doing a good jobs and there is a touch of humour, I was laughing a lot sometimes.

If you liked Richard Gere in "The Hoax" (and I did), then you'll probably like him here, as his Simon Hunt character is as full of bluff and enthusiasm as Clifford Irving in "The Hoax." Terrence Howard is pretty good, too, and Jesse Eisenberg took the spoiled rich kid character and made him human. What's really interesting is that this film points out that the NATO powers have never really tried to get some of the worst war criminals from the former Yugoslavia... and that's a crime in itself. All in all, it's an adventure film that makes you think.

This movie is based on a true story and is political. It has a definite message and the comical interludes help break up the intensity. A story that is educational. I think it is very well put together. It was suspenseful and kept my attention throughout. The actors are wonderful in it.

I found it disjointed and the script was really lacking. I noted that it was rated as an action comedy but there was neither action nor comedy. The "story" as outlined in your trailer was interesting but it was portrayed poorly. I certainly wouldn't recommend it and in fact would tell people to avoid seeing it.
