For the sheer entertainment value I give this a 9... it's a mix between The Blair Witch Project and War of the Worlds... if you liked either film you will like this one.

Gr8 movie... The Monsters Graphics were good and the shaking camera thing made the movie look real.

Well, the worst movie ever possible out all the movies I have watched. The camera was too shaky gave me motion sickness, stupid story line, and... just stupid story line. But acting is ok.

This movie was fantastic! The way it was made just made the movie feel totally real, as if it was an actual account of what happened. I enjoyed every minute of the experience and I hope that they make more movies with this incredibly immersive style. Go see it!

Very artistic and suspenseful, a lot of fun! One could whine about the originality of the camera use, but then, I don't think this one was intended for weak-bellied-wussies!

I liked this movie but I barely could sit through it, with the camera movie and bouncing all over, I realize that is the point of the movie that they are taping it but common they could make it a little less shaky so you could actually see whats going on but I would probably see I again.

I got sick because the camara moves all over the place... it would of been alright for that camara motion... that distracted me from the whole movie.

Of course the special effects aren't amazing; it's supposed to give you a first-person perspective. And it succeeds. Enjoyable movie, nice suspense, good actors.

Amazing movie. Everyone in the theatre when I saw it was pissed about the ending, saying it was pointless and needed more, but what were you really expecting? It would've been 10x lamer if it went on anymore then what was on the tape. And the motion sickness, it only makes it even more realistic, the guy filming wouldn't have been on a rolling filming... chair... thing. (sorry I have no idea what there called) but if you liked the blair witch & alien, yeah go see it.

I really enjoyed this movie. Some don't get used to the first person POV. But I liked it. If u don't like the blair witch style you wont like this movie... I thought it was a great movie to see in the theatre.

I really like this movie, the concept was different and something that you don't expect in a movie. It was believable, and kept you at the edge of your seat.

Great movie... very well done and as far as I'm concerned one of the best movies this year. Took a bit to get used to the movement but no big deal, the people who did this film made a masterpiece, imaginative and unique... not the usual crap hollywood puts out.

Excellent film. The negative reviews given are likely by those who are on the edge of their seat waiting for the newest 'Indiana Jones' film to come out, or a sequel to 'Transformers', 'Harry Potter' etc. etc. ! LOL! Stick to your 'hollywood blockbusters' and the lame epics I'm sure you all enjoy much more than any deviation from a stagnant industry of remakes and sequels. The reason given as to why not to see this film that I have read are lame and in most cases, totally unwarranted and untrue. Visit film websites and do a little homework before SEEING THE FILM, then only to come here and whining like a 12 year old that you will 'never get that 2 hours back', and 'it made me nauseous'! Comments about 'lack of character development', etc. are totally bogus. That's all the film is about! And you don't need to see the creature throughout the entire film. It's done well in that you see it when it needs to be seen. And how many of you stuck around AFTER the end credits to see what happened? Very few from here I gather.

The handheld camera made me feel sick for 12 hours. The story line is weak and has no point.

Not funny. Not a good story. Not a good monster movie. Not a good love story. The only good thing about was when it ended.

I absolutely loved this movie definitely will win a grammy. The camera shaking is perfect, it makes the audience feel like they're a character in the movie! It was amazing over all. 10/10 most deff.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] It was amazing. I suggest everyone see it. Some people may get dizzy. But there is ton of excitement and suspense. You only get to see the whole monster at the end.

I was surprised I got used to that POV angle, but it does add alot to the movie. I'm not a sci-fi fan usually but this one I can recommend to friends. There are no big names (that I recognized anyway) but the actors fit their roles well, and quickly you are feeling their bewilderment & horror. This movie gives the audience credit for having some brains; not like Godzilla, where they want you to 'understand' every freakin' thing about the origin, the capabilities, blah, blah, blah of the monster. Nope, not Cloverfield. You got questions, good luck finding answers, buddy.

I didn't like it, I thought it was probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen. When we went it was a sold out show and almost the whole theater hated that movie. I wouldn't tell anyone to go and see this movie, but it seems that some liked it so I guess it is all up to you.

Despite shaky camera filming not a bad film overall. Tension is created by just giving "peeps" of the creature for the longest time. Very much like 28 Days Later. Similar types of endings.

I didn't love it and I didn't hate it. I nothing-ed it. The storyline was vague and forgotten, because all you can do is look at the very bad hand held camera... THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE MOVIE. I kept waiting for the hand held camera to stop after the party at the beginning, but it didn't. Worse than the hand-held camera in the Blair Witch. My boyfriend has very bad motion sickness and the poor guy got sick. I got a bad headache! I could've held the camera more steady with my digital camera. I guess it's an artistic choice, but for me... nah-uh! Sorry.

Don't waste your time and money. A totally underdeveloped storyline that deserves no attention at all. Close your eyes and walk away... far away.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Also of course Hud was shaking he was being attacked by a 600foot or taller monster and at the end it almost clearly Rob says that he survived (and so did Lily she got away in a helicopter)and the monster is dead! If you are going to see a movie at least WATCH IT!

Blair Witch Project meets The Day After Tomorrow with a bit of 8 Legged Freaks sprinkled in. I liked the story's point of view. You discover things as the main characters do, instead of spoon fed all kinds of explanations and theories.

For those of you who said the story did not give any detail... or never told us what happened at the end... you people need to get your eyes and ears checked. If you listened to the movie, they told us exactly what would happened at the end. Sure, the beginning was a little hard to watch - it was the characters-amatures holding the camera, made it realistic and very wobbly. It was a little hard for me to handle, but it got better over time with the new guy holding the camera. All in all it was a fantastic movie. It used humour which was great. I'm not a big fan of 'monster/alien' movies like this, but this one was pretty enjoyable. I definitely recommend it.

The jiggly scenes made me a bit ill, but the monster is very good! If I ever have a nightmare, there he is! I think there is also supposed to be a subtle 9/11 connection, but I missed it. I won't be looking for this one at the Academy Awards though.

Terible! Camera work hurt everyones head, NOTHING was explained, you will leave the movie wondering why you even bothered seeing it. Want to know the movie? There was a giant monster. New york had to be evacuated. Thats it! Thats all you will ever know.
