Benjamin Button is arguably the worst movie of this year. With the astounding budget and great Art Direction and Cinematography (for which I give it the two stars), there is no excuse for the weak story, inconsistent style and awful acting. This film is a bad 21st Century version of Forrest Gump. It glorifies war and upholds the military status quo. It documents Katrina and completely ignores the misery of the aftermath of the crisis. This film has surely been funded by the Pentagon. This is a formula flick trying desperately to pull tears out of the audience using European cinema tricks. Awful movie.
