This is the story of a grocery store employee that meets a Mexican women who came to Montreal searching for a man who's been missing after a deal with a Montreal fruit wholesaler went south. Together they will try to found the mysterious brother/ex-husband. Along there quest, we meet a bunch full of characters that are reveling us a portray of the mysterious husband in order to create an (artificial) suspense that falls flat at the end of the movie in a scene that looks as if it was taken from a Mexican soap opera. The only reason I'm not giving this film a lower mark is the lead actrice performance, which is ok. The script is weak, the film is boring and full of unnecessary shots Unmistakably a very low budget movie shot on video and blown-up to 35mm The camera work is fair. Oh! By the way why is this film called IMITATION?

Lovely and Very Hot Vanessa Bauche (from Amores Perros) shines in this sensual love story. Overall, the film is pretty good although I didn't get all the threads.
