I don't like this movie. Me too I played Dungeon and Dragons many years ago and I was expecting so much more than that. I would like to see something close of Lord of the Rings for a film like that. The acting are ridiculus, the graphic look like the used Q-Basic and the story and customs are totally bad and awful. If you want to see that movie, you will just waste your time. Forget about it, it's very bad.

Awful!! I play Donjon and dragons for years now. I've never been so frustrated. The only thing you can do about it is to laught. Elves look old and fat, dwarfs are homeless and ragged (and taller than everyone around),... A very bad movie.

Ridiculous. I have never played the game, so I don't know the game rules. The acting was horrible. A group of monkeys smoking a pipe would have more personality that the bunch of amateurs who starred in the movie. Looks like a production for kids, directed by a kid. Even the special effects reminded me playing on Playstation 2.

This movie was ok. I realy like movies with action and magic and everything so I thought I should go and see it with a friend. Well I liked it, my friend liked it hey... even my dad said it was ok. So if you haven't seen it yet, my advice would go and see it. You will have fun ;).

I felt the whole thing was a wasted opportunity- the effects could have been ok (some of the scenery was nice) but I was too busy laughing at the execrable dialogue to enjoy this much. It comes to something when "Jimmy Olsen" outacts Jeremy Irons, but this happened in this movie. The poor sod was really trying but had nothing much to work with. The maze scene wasn't too awful but in general this was a turkey bigger that Godzilla. It wasn't even bad enough to be good, but even a teeny bit of though could have made it ok. Lets face it we fanboys and gals are not that hard to please- even hawk the Slayer will be watched a second time by D&Deers and that film is terrible. This film I wouldn't watch a second time unless you had a gun to my head. Sorry.

Horrible. I am an avid AD&D player, and I expected to see a good movie full of action. Instead I am poisoned by Horrible acting, and no story plot. I also don't see how someone who doesn't play the game to understand it. The Thing with the Beholder was rediculus, a black elf living as a High elf? A 5' Dwarf. I mean come on. In all the adds they said this was going to be one of the greatest fantasy movies ever, well I tell you what I will give 1 point for the humor, and 1 point for the special effects. That's it. Oh yeah, don't even bother with a sequal, because I bet there is a good chance you will go broke (if your not already) if you make it.

Tragically immature and dim -- it did not fulfill the imagination as the game is intended to do. The special effects were amazing, but unless you are out for predictability -- and a sad performance by a formerly profound actor -- rent "Legend" instead.

Aucun rapport avec dungeons & dragons, les personnages sont superficiels et les acteurs plus ou moins convaincants (même Irons). Ceux qui ne jouent pas à Donjons aimeront peut-être car ils n'auront aucune référence, quant aux joueurs, ils seront amèrement déçus. Par contre, les effets visuels sont saisissants (ville, dragons). La seule transposition dungeonesque qui fut réussie, est, à mon avis, dans les jeux comme Baldur's Gate ou Icewind Tales.

Don't waste your money, time and the opportunity to do other thing. This movie really sucks, I ask a refund after 45 minutes. Believe me after 25 minutes you can figure out how the movie will end. Also, the story doesn't make sense and the graphics terrible...

I was expecting a lot more... what was Jeremy Irons thinking? I haven't seen such a bad case of overacting since Battlefield Earth... All in all this film was a failure.
