Boring and unscary. Simple story that seems to go on forever. Worse than The Grudge 2. Pales in comparison to Ringu or The Ring. By the way, who uses 35 mm or Polaroid cameras anymore?

The usual Hollywood drivel - someone already did it and better! The original Thai version was far superior - more suspenseful and creepier all around.

This is a good movie for those who have an interest in paranormal energy or spiritography (electronic spirit communication) I wouldn't recommend anyone dabbling in the paranormal but I would certainly take this movie very seriously.

This movie wasn't too bad, but it could have been better. Instead of the random plot, there should have been more "make you jump" scenes. Go see it if you have some spare time.

This movie sucks, not scary at all and very predictable. Would discourage any one from watching this crap. Do waste your time and money.

Honestly, don't even bother seeing this remake, stick with the original asian movies, they're always better. Hollywood is just being greedy and stealing all their classic horror films... The original Shutter is so much better and I just don't see why they can't show it in theaters with subtitles or something.

Not terrible, however, not great. A little jumpy at times but not worth seeing again.

Just another proof that American cinema is completely out of breath and they find nothing better to do than rehashing foreign hit flicks (in this case from Thailand) Not a bad movie in itself, but still nothing more than a copy... along with The Ring, The Grudge, The Departed... Go see the original!

I enjoyed this movie, although it wasn't scary to me I still thought it had a good plot line.

Why all the negative ratings? Did you simply not get the movie? Or were you a 15 year old kid too busy making out to even try to understand it! Finally a movie that I didn't figure out half way through the movie, the clues were very smartly spread all through it and there were even stuff we understood on our way back in the subway! If you were a fan of the ring and sick of same old horror movies you will definitely enjoy this one!

Normally I refuse to see horror films, but, I insisted to see it this time and it was worth it.

As far as horror movies go, the predictable blonde actress etc. etc... I was surprised that it was decent. The first ten minutes I felt that I chose the wrong movie but the movie is decent, acting for the most part is acceptable and the general theme was good. Could have been better as it seemed to run on but the ending was twisted in a way that I enjoyed. It didn't end the traditional, escaped victims limping off into the distance type ending. All in all a decent movie worth seeing.

Seeing Shutter was a complete waste of time. The acting was awful, the script was very poorly written and didn't seem natural, nobody in the theatre was paying attention to the movie. Probably one of the worst flicks I've seen at the theatre.

The story is so crazy, it's not worth wasting 90 mins to find out what it all means. Thank God that the acting is okay, otherwise I would rate this a 1 or 2...

Who ever came up with the script need to signed over his check to the creator of 'THE GRUDGE'. Same idea was used, they could at at least change the location of the movie but they couldn't even do that! Do avoid at all cost.
