Charming yet occasionally dull movie with some really funny scenes and good performances from Sean William Scott and John C. Reilly.

This movie was worth seeing at least once. Heck when I was in the theater the second time to watch it I had seen other stuff I had not seen the first time around, so I have to admit it was better than what I had anticipated when I had seen the previews, for sure.

What a big boring movie. There was no point of making this. Statement made.

I have gone and seen this movie twice. Each time I had seen it I found something new that infuenced me in my personal life that moved me forward. I mean, who doesn't go through some of those things in life with career and family. What was also funny is to finally see that the background people actually doing what people really do. There was one guy in a lot of scenes actually looking around and sometimes on his phone versus the plain ol stare and walk with no expression. That alone said to me that the director knows what he is doing. Trust me when I say there are worse movies to rip on out there, this isn't one of them. Go ahead and see it at least once. Reality isn't always pretty and full of flowers but seeing others go through the same stuff is refreshing. I left the theater feeling like I'm not alone, FINALLY! Thanks Mr. Conrad and those involved with this film cast and crew alike.

The first third of this movie leaves you bored. Then it falls further and you end up feeling frustrated and depressed. Even when one of the characters expresses happiness, you leave the theatre thinking that your life sucks. I guess this is a tribute to how well-written it was - so true to life that you wish one of the characters played Stiffler (American Pie) rather than this bland, vanilla guy. I wasted my money going to see this. Not recommended - not even when it comes out in DVD. See something else instead.

All in, this movie was pretty funny. I guess to appreciate it to it's fullest, you really need to see the director's other movies. Well I mean the ones written by him such as "the Weatherman"," Pursuit of happyness" darker comedy with some silly willy gags.
