Roger Vadim directs his wife and then muse, Jane Fonda. In this imaginative send-up of the French comic book heroine Barbarella. A French/Italian production it seems a little odd for North American tastes and although the sets are quite imaginative, overall production values could have been much better. However, Jane Fonda's screen presence elevates this film from being ordinary to interesting albeit time dated.
