A really well done movie. The script was good. The actors and actresses were beautiful to watch. The music was nice. Too bad the son had to die. It was too depressing. The style of the movie was different from the same ole américain style we always get. Quite refreshing to see it unfold in that style.

This movie, though chock-full with good acting, wasn't worth the money. Wait for the video. It's slow-paced and has a very boring ending. It's like watching someone else's normal life, which isn't what I want to spend $11.00 on for entertainment.

Excellent. Nanni Moretti is once again at his best. The actors are all superb.

Nanni Moretti has unarguably a unique style which is so true, so Italian. If you liked Caro Diario, u'll will love this one. Its like a nice tomato sauce without all the herbs, spices, meats and veggies just very good tomatoes. (ok, it's 3 am!)

The Son's Room is a fascinating and powerful study on how we deal with the death of loved ones. In this case the loss of a child. Although similar in theme to the equally gripping film In The Bedroom; The Son's Room follows a different, some may even argue a more realistic, path. Where In The Bedroom focused on the desire for vengeance, The Son's Room focuses more on the emotional struggle families must go through in order to reach the stage of expectance. The strong story is enhanced by the equally brilliant acting; especially on the part of the father, wonderfully played by writer/director Nanni Morette. Nanni Morette has crafted a film that is both thought provoking and uplifting. One of the year's best. CS.

Another superb film by Nanni Moretti. A touching film that will definitely move you. In this film we see how differently the members of the same family deal with a loss of a loved one. Very realistic. A very talentad group of actors. Go see it and you will love it as much as I did.

Fantastic movie - Italy is still one of the best fine film exporting countries in the world. Nanni Moretti did a fantastic job with this picture. I recommend it for anyone!!!

Not what I expected from a movie that won an award at the Cannes Film Festival. Pros: not a tipical american movie; Con: could have had more umfff for drama it is rated.
