Awesome movie. Hilarious, sad and just amazing. It has a great message. I love how it shows that you can have a real family that is not blood related.

Surprisingly funny and had a good delicate side to it. A great role for Hugh Grant.

If you were not charmed by Hugh Grant before you will be after this movie. Worth watching just for the doorbell scene. Toni Collette is amazing as usual.

A typical Hugh Grant movie. Superficial and sickening.

This movie pretty much just sucked... Very boring, no point, and the little boy is a dork! Hugh can't act. And I strongly advise that you do not watch this movie, unless of course your getting paid to... I made a mistake by finishing the movie, because I thought it would get better, guess what it doesn't!

Great movie, which incorporates comedy and real life issues. Easy going, great date movie. Fantasic British cast, they did us proud.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] In this romance and comedy film I found that Hugh Grant had put alot of ethusiasm, especially after having himself started off with his imagination and then finds out his imagination had become to be true by having him meet a boy who had a disability. This story not only had a sense of humour but having Grant here being attached to a boy with a disability like a big brother relation which tends to happen in everyday life. This movie had brought alot of tension to me and sure to many who see what goes on in life which tends to interest many viewers and happens in reality with ones who are big brothers.

Good cute movie. Not really a "chick flick". Very funny. Hugh Grant just keeps getting better in these roles.

This is a man that can make any movie inspiring and not know that he has the ability to do so. Romantic without meaning to. He gives hope to the hopeless and takes us out of our realistic and maybe unhappy lifes into a fantasy world that such a man really is here on earth through his demeanor but then his character clashes so the movie becomes exciting. Don't get me wrong I haven't done to bad with men myself it's just that I've often been told that I am so picky I am going to end up alone and I would rather be alone than settle. This movie was perfect for him because of how he carries himself. Bless his heart and good luck to him.

A role Hugh Grant was born to play! A tough situation for single Moms, but the plot took a back seat to maximizing Grant's box office appeal. For plot, I give it a three, for feel-good box office, it gets a nine.

Excellent movie. Pierce Brosnan did it well. He is not just for James Bond movies but also for family dramas.

This was an awesome movie. Probably the best movie yet with Hugh Grant. It really brought home some of the most traumatizing moments of a child as they grow up and illustrates how a young person needs a stable support system in their life.

Better than I expected. Hugh Grant pulls it off again. He is believable and inspirational as a character who grows when he finally decides to embrace life and the world around him.

It was a good movie for adults and children. It had some meaningful moments in it and I'm glad it did not turn out to be "superficial". The lessons learned can be put into practice in real life.

After having this movie recommended to me numerous times, I FINALLY convinced my husband that we should rent it. That only happened because there was nothing else in the store that appealed to him, but nevertheless I was glad to finally watch it! He was surprised to actually enjoy it, as did I! Definitely worth watching.

Rented this movie because there was nothing else available. I do not like Hugh Grant but I have to say I was pleasantly pleased with this movie. The beginning is a little slow but about 20 minutes in it gets better. Nothing great or fantastic happens but the storyline is very good. The boy in this story is very endearing. You really feel for him and he plays the role very well. Good movie to sit and relax and enjoy.

Inspiring, interesting and intellectual! I call this the 3 "I"'s. It made me laugh, ponder and weep! When I saw this movie I was in the midst of an emotional break-down and could really relate to the characters! You too may enjoy it, but for other reasons including the humor! Take a chance, live life to the fullest and see this movie!

I thought the movie was very funny and if the characters were played by any one else rather than the actors that they were played by, I reckon that it would have been a very poor movie.
