This is a remake of the French-language film, 'Louis 19: Le Roi des Ondes.' A video store clerk named Ed wins a contest in which a TV crew films every moment of his life and airs it on a 24-hour cable channel. This turns out to be more than he counted for, as he becomes a big star. As things get complicated (he falls in love with his brother's girlfriend in front of a worldwide audience), he decides to get back at the cable company, with the help of his friends.
