I really enjoyed this movie. Being a CBC "Canadian born Chinese" I could relate to all of the traditions depicted in the movie. I think that this movie was under appreciated and under-rated. Many of the people who casted a low scoring vote were of the caucasian race, and probably did not understand alot of the values and morals in the movie.

This film unveils the unknown world of the Chinese immigrants of the Canadian West Coast. Their values are different from our own family values and their superstitions, still very alive. They have a high code of honour, a value most Canadians have lost along the way. I tried that thing with the mirrors and walking backwards, but I still didn't win the lottery...

I'm in a Women's Studies film class at SFU and wanted to see this film so I could compare and contrast this film for an essay I am going to be doing in the next couple weeks. This film was an excellent movie to do my paper on. I really enjoyed.

It is great to see such good local talents, and familar places. Good story outline. Mindy is such a cute character who played her role well. It had touching moments.
