This movie is definitely a must see! "The Way Home" really made me laugh and cry throughout the movie. The movie is about a city boy who ends up spending some time with his grandmother in the country side. This boy treats her grandmother in a very disrespectful way for the fact that she is deaf and old. However, we see the unconditional love and sacrifice of the grandmother towards her grandson. This movie is very different from the American movies where we see recycled Hollywood storylines. No action is involved nor great technology but it clearly transmit all the necessary elements that make this movie so distinctive in its own way. You must really go and see this movie!

At first, when the movie started, I thought it was going to be boring. The only thing that I liked was the view of a different country and its culture. But within 10 minutes, I changed my mind. How the little kid treated his grandmother and thought of her shocked me. After all, she's his grandmother. That's when I really started to get into the story of the movie. All the pictures of the movie was beautiful. Later, I couldn't stop crying. It's a must see! Cute story of 2 different persons. One old, one younger, one living in the country, other one in the city.

I'm Korean, so I could understand the deeper meaning of the movie. It is such a great movie. I was very touched my this movie. Love, caring and understanding each other... it's something that we forget very often. After I watched the movie, I looked back myself and regret some of my past. But I have hope that I could still make it up and care more about what I regret about. Again it is a great movie. YOU GOTTA SEE.

A beautifully made movie that is both highly literary and deeply touching. On one level, it is the story of how a spoiled city child finds out above life and the true meaning of love when he stays with his impoverished deaf-mute grandmother in the mountain. On another level, doesn't that spoiled child represent modern urban society which wastes and breaks indiscriminately, while the grandmother represents mother nature who still loves us despite all we do to hurt her? This surprising movie, which started life as a low-budget art film made with untrained first-time actors, went on to set an all-time box office record in Korea. [...]
