I think this film is worth to be giving a chanche. No, it is not a big commercial film with easy to understand content for small brain people. It is beyond that. When you watch such a film, you must be ready to completely commit yourself to it. You must surrender your mind, and contrentrate only on it. Do not try to understand every single thing that is going on, but absorb what is giving to you. While you are watching, appreciate the work implied in the film, appreciate the editing, the points of view, the different camera angles and their influence on the action. When you are done watching and the credits appear, then start analysing what you have just seen, try to find the links you have in your personal life with this film. Only then will you really be able to have a proper opinion. Yes, I do think "Gerry" is a great film, on many levels. It may not ever be one of my favorite, for it is not the kind of film I truly enjoy, but it IS very good.

If you are looking for a piece of work that can reveal multiple views of what art may be, this is the opportunity for you to see a movie that takes you through pure art expressions. This movie is a real piece of art.

WARNING - There is no content to reveal in this movie - there is NO content. Two guys walk around the desert and nothing happens... The first 10 minutes of this movie was one of the worst forms of psychological torture I've ever experienced from any movie... Its showed two guys driving through desert roads, their was no dialogue, and the music was completely torturing. Afterwards no much happens... I waited to see what would happen and well after I realized nothing was going to happen I left...

What a complete waste of time. I counted 14 people leave the theater. We didn't leave because of our nieve thought that Matt Damon "usually" produces quality in his work... I guess everyone screws up sometimes. One quote about the movie was "... Warhol meets Ainsel Adams", it should have stated "Dumb and Dumber lost in New Mexico, without humerous, witty or interesting dialogue". Completely not worth seeing. Save your cash.

Very much like 2001 in they way there's a lot of very boring dragged out scenes that make you think. The dialogue was hilarious. Not a movie for those with a short attention span. But if you're looking for something different and that really makes you think, this is a good one.

"Dude where's my car? " meets "Lawrence of Ariabia". Kidding aside, it was a great film; so much said with so little dialogue. Pay attention to the details, as they are revealing. This must be seen in a cinema to be appreciated..
