I went not expecting much and was very satisfied. The director has fun with the viewers sense of reality and relationships. Not much of a thriller but definitely romantic. I'm not a musical fan, but I loved the singing and music in this film.

I liked this movie because in spite of the confusing plot, slow pace and undeveloped characters, I did not notice it was 2: 13 hrs long. And I would not have minded if it had continued on!

Absolutly loved this movie. Here we have a jazz singer and a thief, each one having the same symptoms with their illness. We learn about them through dream flashbacks and their professions. One tries a faith healer, the other the medical profession, each one is successful and recovers. The movie leaves you wondering if all of life is just a dream.

I was disappointed in this film. The Jane Lester character as played by Patricia Kaas left me cold - she had no depth of emotion and I was unable to feel any connection or sympathy with her character. Jeremy Irons provided some amusing moments. I found the subtext of the boxer and his wife confusing.
