The best part about this movie was Gerard Butler. His portrayal of Marek was, atleast, believable. Frances O'Connor was deplorable, as was Paul Walker. I liked the story but wish it had remained more true to Michael Crichton's book. Aside from Butler and Billy Connolly, the rest of the cast just didn't seem up to it. Disappointing.

The movie was okay... as a movie, but in comparison to the book it was AWFUL! I read the book and it was one of the best I've ever read. When I heard it was made to be a movie I was so excited... and yet while watching it I wanted to cry and leave the threatre. They portrayed Chris' character pretty much to a complete opposite to what he was, cut the first half of the book into 15 minutes, and removed the best scene of all the novel! In all, I was disgusted with the film. Do yourself a huge favour and read the book instead. You won't regret it.

I liked the movie I had seen the previews and wanted to see it for a while, when it finally came onto a DVD I bought it and watched it I loved it! I didn't know there was a book on this movie. I loved the romantic type ending it had with the tombstone of his friend and the girl he fell in love with... I also liked how they came up with the time travel thereory not one of those cheesy "time machines" but an accidental mishap that led to the time travel. I really like the movie was worth the bucks..

Timeline had a very bad review from the reviewers, but do not listen to them, this movie was great. Even better then The Lord Of The Rings The Two Towers. A must-see.

If you like archaeology, history and dream. You probably like this movie. Although the little lound in the movie. I like saw a similar story before except they dress different. The amount of the people in the war maybe same with The return of the king (If you don't count the people made by computer)

I seen half of the movie. To preserve my own time-line, I had to leave. Stinker of a movie, do not waste your money. I will also pass on the book unless I end up on death row and there are only four walls and the book.

Timeline was an awesome movie! Most often when movies are about time travel, the sequences don't make sense. You end up leaving the theater confused. Timeline all falls into place in the end. The actors were excellent, costumes and scenery were realistic and anyone who enjoys a great medeival movie with a touch of the 21st century should see this movie. I really enjoyed it and I would go again if movie tickets weren't so darn expensive.

Here we go again! The Americans who saved the World. I can't believe how crap it was! And the cast, really painful. They really should think of taking acting classes. There is no story whatsoever: Hollowman must have written it. I do not recommend this joke of a film to anyone who has a brain.

I went into this movie with the expectation of making fun of it throughout the entire evening. And I did not get a chance to do that. I actually ended up enjoying it. It's a simple predictable plot, one-sided characters. Your regular, enjoyable action flick. It's all in the expectations. I expected it to be horrible - it wasn't. If I expected it to be great, I would have hated it. Should you watch it? It's not a waste of money if you want to relax mindlessly.

Ok what did you think you'd get when you place a similar cast as scream (or any teen movie) into a overdone plot like hmm lets say a time machine plot... and then base it on one of the worst books I've had the pleasure of not finishing? (my time is worth more to me) This film, (By the way I never saw it because the trailers were so awful and the premis and novel were complete BS) is an example of why hollywood can get away with this crap year after year. People are generally iliterate so they read a. Hitty book it makes best seller... cause the last. Hitty book by the same author did, and whammo! A piece o crap on celluloid. C'mon people start reading better books and watching better movies, and this stuff will not get made. Simple math really for those of you who need to relate on a non literal level.

I find it interesting that so many people either loved or absolutely hated this movie. That is usually the mark of greatness. And I sthink this was a great movie. I don't care about the historical inaccuracies or the ease with which modern-day Americans and Scotsmen communicated with medieval aritsicrats and peasants alike. This is a movie, a romantic story, not a hostory lesson, and I think it pulled it off brilliantly. I loved the acting and the silly stunts, and the story itself! The best lesson I drew from this movie? DON'T LISTEN TO REVIEWS, GO SEE IT FOR YOURSELF (I ALMOST DIDN'T)!!!

Imagine this: Your family gathers at your aunt's for Xmas dinner, but she forgets the bird in the oven and the turkey is burnt to a crisp. BUT! Thank God! Your dad has a nice cooked turkey in the glove compartment of the car!!! Ridiculous plot? Not nearly as stupid as this piece of garbage. Timeline is really not worth it if you have half a brain. I am usually VERY easily entertained and I don't look for perfection, but everything in this movie just stinks. And don't get me started on the cast. Really, go see something else.

Didn't like the "Disney" feel with the level of violence in some scenes.

Really bad. Don't even watch this one on the late show when you can't sleep. Poor all around effort from acting to directing to screen writing and editing. This is
