I thought that haunted mansion was a wonderful movie. I thought it was more a love story type film. I'm only 10 and I understood it perfectly. Some parts were predictable but some were shocking. I say it's a family film totally.

I thought this movie was filled with bad acting and a crappy story line! Whoever gave it higher than a 2 mustve been sleeping through it and dreamt it was better I dont know but I am glad I only paid 2 bucks to see it.

It isn't a movie just for kids but for evryone! Actually, kids may find it funny and cute but older people would probably understand the message; this movie is not just a funny story or a simple fairy tale, it's about love, true love, and how some people can be bad for stupid reasons, reasons that are starting sometimes wars, murders and more. When love is in you, evrithing is possible.

The sub plot was absolutely lovely. It has everything, tragic romance, action, comedy, horror(not too bad), Nathaniel Parker(just kidding), and lots of fun. A definite must see!! Eddie Murphy is even pretty good, but shouldn't be focused on too much..

An interesting movie with Eddy Murphy. Although some parts may be slightly gruesome for younger kids, there were some pretty funny parts. Maybe it was just me, but I thought the storyline was easily predictable. Some great animation (with the skeletons and the crystal ball) and witty storyline. It would be a good movie to go see with your sweetheart, or the kids. A movie about family and working together - it's worth it.

Can't believe that it's one of Eddie Murphy's movies! Though a lot of special effects and the storyline is pretty good, but aside from the fact that two supporting actors did a GREAT job in RUINING the movie, the ending was very disappointing and it wasn't as funny as some people thought.

I would recommend this for all ages, but that is just me. It is very light and very Disney. Don't be daft and expect some crappy plot from Warner Bro. This is a Disney film and I would say it is best suited to young boys and girls who like to be scared a little. The girls will enjoy the love story between Gracy and his lost bride and the boys will enjoy the occasional zombie head popping up. Adults who are used to rough footage or movies like "The Hours" will dread this movie. Only something for the young and the young at heart.

This is a great movie. It's up there with ET, the Goonies, Ghost Busters and Scarface. Eddie Murphy is at his best. He is an amazing actor. He actually made me laugh and cry at the same time. I preordered the DVD from Amazon to be the first one to watch it again when it comes out on video.

This movie was fun to watch and quite neat. If you've been on the Haunted Mansion ride, you will recognize quite a few of the scenes. It was a good movie, very funny, and kind of spooky.

Okay, um... this movie sucks! Eddie Murphy is officially a has-been. He seems to be the only actor who can star in one flop after another after another and still maintain a career. Stallone had one bad movie and he was all but gone from the business. Ben Affleck stars in Gigli, and already they're saying his career is in jeopardy. The Haunted Mansion is basically a complete ripoff of 1999's "The Haunting", but aimed at a younger audience. Not only is the premise the same, but the story was pretty much plagiarized as well. I found it shameful. This being the first movie ever to be based on an amusement park ride, I can't help but wonder what fate we, the movie-going public, will suffer if this should happen to make some money. The future will be filled with Space Mountain and Tilt-A-Whirl movies. I shudder to think of it. There is actually one pretty good scene in this movie that happens right around the middle. In fact, I even found it somewhat eerie, and would think some kids might find it downright terrifying. This scene alone saved the film from getting a 2 or a 3. Repeat: movie sucks, Eddie Murphy needs to disappear off the face of the earth, and making movies out of rides is an even worse idea than making movies out of video games. It's too bad we only got to see Jennifer Tilly's face in this, instead of some of her other more... noticeable features. Maybe that would have kept me awake.
