Umm... ok. Maybe it's just me, but I found this movie absolutely mesmerizing. Robert Downey Jr. Fascinates as a man so embedded in his own sadness and rage that he has let his coping mechanisms run out of control and take over his reality, even though they, in fact, only serve to further feed that same gripping anger. Better to watch in a slightly weird frame of mind so that the disjointed scenes don't throw you off (and why should a confused, fantasy world make sense anyhow?), but just concentrate on the battle inside - and outside - of the main character and you will enjoy. Unless rotting flesh makes you nauseous - then you're probably on your own.

I left after 30 minutes of waiting for something redeaming in this incredibly hateful movie. In fact, I'm still angry with my partner for having taken me to this movie. If you are effected by violence against women, against scenes of women and mothers damaging their sons and partners... this is not the movie for you.

O. K. I admit, I left after 15 minutes. It was that horrible. But I'll give it a 2 nonetheless, because I haven't seen the whole "movie" (and maybe, just maybe, it wasn't all that bad)

STOP!!! THINK BEFORE Y0U EVEN THINK ABOUT WATCHING THIS!!! This movie was a disaster I was falling asleep. We walked out during the movie, and I've never walked out on a movie. It was that bad, it drags on and on for 2 hours if they didn't make it so that u see a scene 3 times then it would be better but nonetheless it SUCKED! Too bad I cant put a -10 cuz thats what it was. If u wanna see a good movie go see the station agent that was worth watching very good.

OK, this is an offbeat movie - definitely not for your Disney fans. This was originally produced as a BBC television series about 10 years ago. That they decided to put it in theatres is a warming sign that sugary crap isn't all that looks good on the big screen. Dark, funny, satirical and a little sad (given that it's somewhat autobigraphical).. I highly recommend viewing it if you want something different.
