Meilleur film au monde. L'histoire est trop bonne.

Just go and see it. The book was great... the movie was the same. Remember the Vatican doesn't want you to go see it. They also banned Elvis in the 60's.

This movie was a little disapointing. Yes, I know it can't always be exactly like the book, but it could have been better. But I found the book boring too.

People READ THE BOOK!! The books is 1000000000% more interesting and exciting than this piece of crap. I've read the book twice. Don't be lazy... read for a change, you will be glad!

Good movie- even if you were unaware of the actual stories. Much better if you had knowledge of church and background.

I love movies with museums in them. Why can't people go out and see art instead of watching movies about museums? Because we get murders and car chases in lovely films like the Da Vinci Code - and a lot of revisionist history. Don't miss this chance to see drama. And add some to your own lives, people. Deception is more entertaining than reality, unfortunately...

I had trouble following the movie through some parts of the film, having not read the book. It made more sense after my friend pointed some things out. Interesting look back at history.

DVD: "The Da Vinci Code (2-Disc DVD Giftset)"
Big buildup for what was an average murder mystery. All the build up and supposed controversy associated with the Roman Catholic Church is simply hype to sell the movie in my opinion. Notwithstanding it is an average murder mystery with a predictable outcome.

So boring, I fell asleep during part of it, and I was still able to predict the signigance of Audrey Tautou's character. The only thing moving was the musical score.

I got to see this movie sitting behind a famous Bollywood actor (Zayed Khan) and still felt I should've stayed home. Save yourself the trouble of watching it, and go read the book.

Glad I waited for the DVD for this one, there's so much plot, I would rewind scenes just to figure out what the heck happened. I have never read the book but this movie has made me interested in reading it, as the storyline is fascinating. But for the movie, there was so much story to take in, it took away from the suspense I thought, so cant give it a big thumbs up, still its worth a viewing.

Not having read the book, I didn't go into it with the grand expectations that seemed to destroy the film for everyone who had. Instead, I just sat down for an intriguing popcorn-filled thriller... and was rewarded.

I read the book long ago, in the first three months of its release, and way before the hype about movies, etc, so it was long enough ago that I did not croak and moan about it following the movie, but yet I could follow the blistering pace of what was going on. All in all, I think a mark of mid 80's is fair, it could have been a little more polished in places, but was still a good flick and worth the full price of admission in the theatre. Since it covers a different and exciting storyline is enough to garner my attention instead of the usual summer movie fluff.

I didn't know what the story was about, and the supposed facts were very interesting, along with the music, but the mnovie itself was just ok... I would recommend renting it, but make sure you are ready to read.

Having not read the book and therefore not looking for anything other than an interesting night of be entertained, it was simply a good movie. It did not alter my spirituality or change my mind on my morals or ethics it was plain and simple... a good movie worth seeing.

The book was MUCH MUCH better then the movie. I have read all of Dan Brown's novels and The Da Vinci Code is one of my favorite novels. The way he is able to make you belive something is going to happen but then changes the scene completly is amazing! I absolutly LOVED his book and I thought the movie made no justice to him. The movie was well thought out, but if you haven't read the book there will be many scenes in the movie that wont seem to make sense and you will be left confused. The last scene in the book was also changed in the movie and which I did not like at all. I absolulty loved the ending of the book and was quite upset that it was changed so. The movie ran at quite a fast action paste so all the details and explanations of the character's actions were not properly shown. I did not like all the changes to the film but I would encourage any one interested to watch the movie. I LOVE DAN BROWN!

Not bad at all, its like national treasure, the religious controversy is overhyped, it is just a guy's thoughts but it is reproduced into a movie very well.

I will not call it fabbity fab fab, but it was good. The movie kept most of the details from the actual book, and didn't overexagerrate. The only thing that I did not like about the movie is... I can't put my finger on it, but it was a just a smidge eugh-ish. Mais d'accord, c'est très bon anyway.

The book was better. Tom Hanks' played the lead personality a bit flat. I feel that the screenplay left out some important information to the story from the book. Good cinematography, though.

Sometimes hard to follow, but well worth the watch. You cannot smooch with your girlfriend in this one! You MUST pay attention, as the plot moves quickly, and smoothly.

Except for being really long, I t defianatly was very intresting, a few gross parts - but definitely worth seeing! The only reason why I only rate it as a 7 is it's not usually my kind of movie!

This is one of the best movies ever made :) in my opinion, even though its fiction, it opened a lot of peoples' eyes as to the activities of the catholic church, because reading the book/watching the movie led many to seek the real truth through research. Although there are some variations from actual fact, they can be forgiven by the pure thrill of the storyline.

OK, so of course the book is going to be better than the movie because the book is a play by play word for word description, where by the movie is made for mind numbing entertainment. It's like comparing apples to oranges GO SEE IT AND ENJOY IT STOP ANALIZING The darn thing!

While many people told me that lovers of the book would be sorely disappointed. I was actually pleasantly surprised. As a stand alone movie without the hype of the book, it is definitely excellent, but it is hard to think that any movie would measure up to this one's expectations. But, all in all, a good movie that was true to the book and definitely great casting choices: Tom Hanks and Audrey Tautou were good choices as was Ian Mackellen.

This movie stands on its own with out all the controversy as a better than average action and mystery flick. Some good acting and dialogue, as well as a plot that was complex yet did not get bogged down and actully made sence.

I was expecting a hell of alot more for a film that came from such an amazing book. The book was so much better than the movie, like I read the book twice and I still coouldn't follow the movie very well. If you didn't read the the book I can't emagine how dificult it would be to follow the movie. I have never been a big Tom Hanks fan. But I did think that he did Robert Langdon good. The ending was also a little wacko but what ever. I guess I enjoyed it but also I couldn't really see damn screan when the only remaning seets were right infrount of it. O and one more thing, the book and the movie followed COMPLETELY different plots.

The movie is ok, but can't hold a candle to the book. Everything seems a bit rushed and somehow less relevant, which is usually the case which movies based on books. What I didn't like was Hanks playing Robert Langdon. Dan Brown's books are more about concepts than characters and I found Hanks's star power distracting. An unknown actor could have really improved the film... the movie could have great, instead the filmakers went conservative and paid for it.

I know this film got a lot of bad rep, I believe mostly because people thought they mis-cast Tom Hanks in the role of Robert Langdon, but I did not read the book and I believe he did a great job. I was holding my breath most of the film, it was entertaining and became a great conversation starter.
