This movie was one we picked up based on the award it got - we'd never heard of it. It was great, definitely worth seeing. Luckily for us, the blurb on the back of the DVD gave less away than the description above - it was nice to have the 'surprise' of what Tsotsi found in the car he stole. This was a really interesting look at the life of a young man, and, more broadly, at the dichotomy between rich and poor in Johannesburg. Definitely worth seeing. There are some funny and tragic moments. The ending was well done - by that point we were expecting the worst to happen to the characters.

A very disturbing story of great poverty and lack of opportunity in the slums of Johannesburg. The juxtoposition of very rich and very poor is a problem everywhere but this story shows that people can change if given a chance..

Amazing Movie, unbelievably real. The movie really captures life and what a feels like to be that poor and frustrated. Every actor was amazing in their role and not one scene in that movie was wasted. Incredible movie, a must watch especially with all the crap that is out now.
