Bad acting, dumb story, cheesy movie. The story must have been writing by a child because it's just too simple. There's a bad guy and a good guy, and one of them has to beat the other one. Thats it. The only great thing about this movie is the amount of muscle and good looking guys in it. Still not worth to watch...

This is one of the best movies you can see... my opinion is not to go rent it... GO BUY IT!!! You dont need to rent it first you will love it so you might as well just buy it!!

This was an amazing movie! Aside from your regular horror flicks, this was yet again for your teen/ late teen audiences but it was not the same boring slasher film. It was brilliant and if you are into this sort of sci-fi thing, then this is a must see!!!

Get your butt moving, watch this movie, HOT GUYS! Toby Hemingway is the hottest guy in the world! And this movie is full of hot guys! If you don't like this movie, have your eyes tested. HOT GUYS! And some other pretty cool stuff, but the best thing is the hot guys. Yes, I'm horomonal, bite me. But the movie was awesome, cool car tricks, snazy special effects, and some really cool spookyness! Watch this movie, it's awesome, and remember: Reid is mine!

The movie is the best movie I've ever seen. I suggest you make a sequal on this movie. I mean the boys are fine, the setting is great, and the Actors and actresses are awesome. I think if you make a second movie about this you would be more famous than you already are. Renny Harlin, this such an awesome movie I love you so much for making it, Steven Strait and Chace Crawford are so hot. Good luck on the next movies you direct.

Special Effects were well done. My fav was with all the spiders and the car crash. There weren't any boring parts. The music made it that much better and exciting. Worth the money on the big screen for sure.

I wanted to like this movie because the overall idea seemed interesting: a "buddy movie" with witchcraft. Yet, how could they get everything so wrong? 1. Acting: pitiful 2. Dialogue: painful 3. Story development: so many unanswered questions that I wondered what the point of the story was. For example, why was the Dad living isolated in a decrepit attic when he was supposedly rich? What was the point of the other guys in the covenant? They didn't do a thing. 4. Too cliche: every aspect of a teen horror movie was represented to the extreme. For example, every night was foggy and stormy. A new girlfriend is the center of a blackmail threat. The main guys are all model-cute. The bad guy shows up and scares people with parlor witchcraft tricks for no apparent reason. If you had those kinds of powers, would you be hanging around a prep school, stalking girls in showers? This had hardly enough story even for an episode of "Supernatural" on TV. And it ends as if there is going to be a sequel. What a waste of my time.

This movie had all the potential but no real ambition. Renny Harlin took the easy route and just followed the typical formula that works for most films made in the same genre ( good looks but no passion ) I would have liked to have seen what would have been made if James Cameron was at the helm of this flick or even Spielberg. Wishful thinking on my part. Those directors wouldn't even touch a B movie like this one. Too bad though, I loved Lost Boys back in the 80's and even today... it is a superior film in comparison.

This movie could have been sooo good if they upped the action and got better actors. As it is the storyline is OK but the acting is horrible. I seen better actors on Barney for god's sakes. There are some cool parts in it but for the most part the action is pretty tame. Don't waste your money seeing this, go see the Illusionist instead, you'll be way happier.
