It's such a beautiful movie. I honestly can't quite get why people didn't like it? To each his own, right? I thought it was great, and Robin Williams is always fantastic.

Robin Williams is as always great, but unfortunatly this film doesn't give him much to work with. It's just a very poor Hollywood copy of La Vita es Bella.

As usual Robin Williams' acting is great!! The movie as a whole is good and touching at times, but the movie fell short a couple of chuckles... SJB

This isn't much of a comedy. The story is pretty good; but, it lacks the punch of a 'true' story. It isn't Good Morning Vietnam in a Jewish Ghetto nor is it La Vita est Bella. The performances of most of the cast, I found, to be unconvincing.
