I personally really liked this movie, no matter what other ppl say. This was packed with action and very fun to watch. I am Chinese and knew the original story from a long long time ago and it was very exciting to see the new version of this terrific movie. Very beautiful story line.

I'm a big fan of kung-fu movies and I must admit that this whole "Hollywood touch" (i.e."let's make sure that the mainstream audience can relate") pisses me off... I think that Michael Angarano's part is useless. Besides, what's the wannabe John Travolta's part played by the bully? Although the fighting scenes are good ones, there was no fluidity in the moves. Without being told, you can guess that Yuen Woo-Ping is behind the fighting scenes and I think that it's too obvious that these are part of a choreography. It's like watching people dancing.

Sad, sad, sad. The cliché-ridden dialogue, mindlessly predictable plot lines, and cheesy special effects make the audience want to throw round-house kicks at the movie producers. Jackie Chan and Jet Li together in a martial arts flick sounded so promising (and the three or four odd fight scenes were terrific!) But there was so much bland filler in-between. It’s the movie director who should be "forbidden."

Great fighting scenes as expected. This is where my mediocre rating number came from. Ensure you go into the movie expecting a lot of wire work though. Also go there expecting a cheesy plot.

I was not expecting this kind of movie, I wanted a Jackie Chan and Jet Li action flix, not skinny white boy's journey to "discover" himself. At times it was good, I enjoyed the plot, the fight scenes, though some of the characters were off, namely one, the skinny white boy. I have nothing against white, as I am one, though kung fu movies is not were they belong.

I was bored, almost from the start. A slow moving uninspired kung fu tale with very few interesting aspects. Although I did like the witch.

I thought it was a mediocre film I don't know if it was intended to be old time kung fu movie because most of the movie was just pointless kung fu that didn't make sense.

At first while watching the movie I thought it was hocki. After getting more into the movie I enjoyed it. I enjoy action martial arts as my husband enjoys watching them so I've gotten into them as well. I enjoyed the movie and glad I went to see it. Jet Li and Jackie Chan showed they still had the moves and training a young boy the arts. Kind of reminded me of the karate kid movies and the training process of a new student.

The movie The Forbidden Kingdom starring Jackie Chan and Jet Li was an amazing movie. The film was great and the story kept you up and awake. The animation , acting , story , it was all amazing. Seeing Jackie Chan and Jet Li together for the first time was a exciting. Both martial artists made super fighting scenes. It was not a very bloody , gory , or scary movie. It was good for all ages so if you have not seen it go now!

The movie was exceptional, however it wasn't my type of movie. The martial arts was a bit to much for me. The story was kind of confusing. I think it was good. Its had its funny moments that were random. Jackie Chan and Jet Li were amazing. I recommend this movie to those individuals who like action.

It was a powerful movie. It was action packed. The costumes were dazzling. The sceneries were also lovely. I thought the actors gave a wonderful performance although, the fighting with swords was a bit too much for me. I recommend it to action lovers! [...]

The display of martial arts was marvelous however, the story didn't make much sense to me. I liked the idea of magic combined with martial arts. I think the movie should have been rated 14+ because of the violence.

Not bad, though I'm getting a little tired of the overused wire work. Ever since Crouching Tiger, it seems EVERY martial arts movie feels the need to use it. It would be much more effective (and impressive) if actual moves were performed unaided. Other than that it was a little fluffy. Karate Kid had more depth.

Good action, enough fantasy to transport you out of your everyday life. Very nice scenery.

Excellent movie, action and humor are in complete harmony in this movie. It brings me back my old favourites with the Monkey King. The story was good, but I đídn't liked how they putted it. Jackie and Jet should make more together, I love them and I love the fight they had!

Well, I guess the movie in itself wasn't bad because of the mass amounts of famous actors they had to make up for it. That, and the martial arts scenes definitely got an "A" for awesome. But, the plot in itself was rather unoriginal, and sometimes the characters were extremely 2D with their personality and character with little development except how the main character gets over his cowardice. An okay movie.

In a nutshell, The Karate Kid meets The Wizard of Oz told Crouching Dragon, Hidden Tiger style and guest staring They Call me Bruce. The action and scenery were fantastic. As a Martial Arts Fan I got to give it full thumbs up.
