User's review

I did not find this a typical 'laugh out loud' comedy. Ricky Gervais has been in some good comedies (The Office, Extras, Ghost Town) but this is a different sort of comedy. It is more introspective and analytical. What would it be like if people always said what they thought - often without even being asked? Is honesty always the best policy? Is it possible to be too honest? There are some funny scenes in the movie, but may be too intellectual for some - especially those accustomed to mindless comedies and bodily function humour.
