This movie would have been better had I not have such high expectations. I mean I was expecting something like Godfather here! I went today (a Wednesday at Guzzo, so it was 5$, the 1st week) The movie theater was half empty, and people were checking the time on their phones a lot. Ok, I'll admit that with three screens in the same theater, and with a movie almost 3 hours long (with previews), its almost normal. But still. The story was good. The actors were good (but hey, I think all actors are good, except for those in the tv series "Dexter", where those guys are sooo bad!) But I don't know. It was missing that extra thing that makes a great movie. I mean people (and I) loved Lords of the Ring, but Troy, Alexander, and some teen movie about knights were huge flops. They didn't have that extra thing. Which, I'm sorry to say, American Gangster also lacks. I mean, its good. Just not "12$ good".
